    One post of Assistant Director (Office Language) will be filled up by deputation (Including Short Term Contract)/absorption as per details/eligibility conditions given below.

    Assistant Director (Office Language) in the pre-revised Pay Band-3, Rs. 15600-39100/-+ Rs. 5400/- (G.P.) and revised Pay Matrix Level-10.
    By deputation (Including short-term contract)/absorption.

    Officers from the Central Government/State Governments/Union Territories/recognized research Institutions/Public Sector undertakings/Semi-Government/Statutory or autonomous organizations;
    (a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or Department; or
    (ii) with three years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in the pre-revised Pay Band-2 Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4600; revised Pay Matrix Level-7 and
    (b) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience –Essential:
    Master’s Degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree level; or
    Master’s Degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a Compulsory or elective subject or as medium of examination at the Degree level; or
    Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination in the Degree level; or
    Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory subject or as a medium of examination at the Degree level: or
    Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subject or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level; or
    (ii) Three years’ experience in of using/applying terminology (terminological work) in Hindi and translation work from English to Hindi or vice-versa Preferably of technical or scientific literature under Central/State Governments/autonomous body/statutory/organisations/ Public Sector Undertakings /Universities or recognised research or educational institutions; or
    Three years’ experience of teaching in Hindi or English or research in Hindi or English under Central/State Governments/autonomous body/statutory organisations/Public Sector under-takings/Semi-government/Statutory or Autonomous Organisations/Universities or recognized research or educational Institutions
    Desirable:
    Studied one of the languages other than Hindi included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution at the 10th level from a recognized Board
    Note 1. Period of deputation including short-term contract including the period of deputation including short-term contract in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation/department of the Central Government shall not exceed three years The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation including short-term contract shall not be exceeding fifty-six years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
    Note 2. For the purpose of appointment on deputation basis, the service rendered on a regular basis by an officer prior to the 1st January, 2006 or the date from which the revised pay structure based on the recommendations of the Sixth Central Pay Commission has been extended shall be deemed to be service rendered in the corresponding grade pay or pay scale extended based on the recommendations of the said pay Commission except where there has been merger of more than one pre-revised scale of pay into one grade with a common grade pay or pay scale, and where this benefit will extend only for the post(s) for which that grade pay or pay scale is the normal replacement grade without any upgradation.
    Note 3. Only Officers of Central Government/State Governments/Union Territories will be eligible for consideration for appointment on absorption basis.
    (i) Trg. Allowance (inclusive Deputation Duty Allowance) @ 30% on pre-revised basic pay +G.P.
    (ii) SDA @ 12.5% on pre-revised Basic Pay +G.P.
    (iii)Transport Allowance as per slab & other facilities like Rent free accommodation Medical, Education Welfare etc.
    Duties and responsibilities of the post:
    The Assistant Director (Official Language) will be responsible to teach Hindi to the Police Officers attending various courses at NEPA from Non-Hindi speaking region. He will be responsible for translating official documents to Hindi and also responsible to organize training programs for the Academy staff to promote use of Hindi in line with the Government’s Policy. Besides that the officer will be required to perform any other task assigned to him by the authority.
    The post of Deputy Director (Indoor) is higher post of Assistant Director (OL) but has no feeder post
