    Become a Permanent Service Commissioned (PSC) Officer in the Logistics Cadre and Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer in Education Branch and Air Traffic Control (ATC), Course Commencing – December  2014

    Applications are invited from unmarried male Indian citizens for Permanent Service Commission (PSC) in the Logisitcs Cadre of Executive Branch and unmarried Male/ Female for Short Service commission in Education Branch and ATC of the Indian Navy for Course commencing December 2014 at Naval Academy (NAVAC) Ezhimala, Kerala.

    Logistics / Works (Only for male) :  minimum 60% in B.Com./ M.Com./ BA/ MA / BBA/ MBA/ BBM/ BCA/ MCA/ B.Sc. (IT)/ M.Sc. (IT)/ B.Tech./ BE (Any discipline)/ Graduate  Degree with Post Graduate Diploma/ Degree in Materials Management/ ICWA/ CA and for Works (i) BE/ B. Tech. Civil Engineering (ii) B. Architecture
    Education : minimum 50% in M.Sc. Physics with Maths in B.Sc./ M.Sc. Maths with Physics in B.Sc./ M.Sc. Chemistry / MA (English or History) / MCA (Physics or Maths at Graduation Level) OR BE/ B. Tech./ M. Tech.in Mechanical/ Electronics & Communication/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electronics & Tele Communication/ Electrical/ Computer Science/ Information Technology
    ATC :  B. Sc. in Physics/ Maths or Electronics / M. Sc. in Physics/ Maths or Electronics

    General Instructions:
    1. Selected Candidates will be on a probation till two yrs from the date of reporting to the Indian Naval Academy/ thedate of commencement of training/completion of the initial training whichever is later. Any candidate found married or who marries while undergoing training will be discharged. He shall be liable to refund full pay and allowances drawn by him/her and any other expenditure incurred on him/her by the Govt.
    2. Logistics Officer deals with the Logistics aspects of Men and Material. He plays a vital role in the human aspect of the ship/establishment’s organisation. A modern warship irrespective of its role needs a continuous supply of fresh provisions, fuel and spares. You as a Logistics Officer will be responsible for smooth supply of stores to all naval units. In no other career does an officer get such a vast exposure to keep abreast of modern and latest development in the field of management and finance. Officers with Works Specialization would get a wide exposure in Civil Works and Infrastructure related appointments during the span of their career.
    3. The Indian Navy operates various types of modern aircraft from shore based airfields as well as from ships. AirTraffic Control Officers in the Indian Navy control naval fighter aircraft, maritime reconnaissance aircraft and multirole helicopters both ashore and afloat. In no other career, an officer gets exposed to such a wide spectrum of opportunities to keep abreast of modern and latest developments in the field of Air Traffic Control. Life in the Navyis full of challenges and adventures. The Navy provides some of the finest training facilities, which will turn you intoa skilled professional, mentally agile and physically fit officer.
    4. Education officers are responsible for imparting instructions onboard Training Ships & Establishments. Avenuesto specialise in Meteorology & Oceanography/ Naval Communications/Anti Submarine Warfare/Gunnery/Navigation& Direction/ Hydrography/IT and MTech Courses are also available. Education officers will also be responsible for control and co-ordination of Schooling/Libraries/Academic facilities, Distance Education, Naval examinations for control and co-ordination of Schooling/Libraries/Academic facilities, Distance Education, Naval examinations(On/Off line), development of Training Design and Evaluation and Human Resources.
    5. Fill the online registration form.     The Indian Navy is a well balanced and cohesive three dimensional force, capable of operating above, on and under surface of the oceans efficiently safeguarding our national interests.The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) exercises operational and administrative control of the Indian Navy from Integrated Headquarters of MOD(Navy). He is assisted by the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff (VCNS) and three other Principal Staff Officers, namely the Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff (DCNS), the Chief of Personnel (COP) and the Chief of Material (COM).The Navy has the following three commands, each under the control of a Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief:The Western and the Eastern Naval Command are operational commands and exercise control over operations in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal respectively. The Southern Command is designed as the Training Command.The cutting edge of the Indian Navy is its two fleets, namely the Western Fleet based at Mumbai and the Eastern Fleet based at Visakhapatnam. Besides the fleets, there is a flotilla based at Mumbai, Visakhapatnam and Port Blair (A & N Islands) that provides Local Naval Defence in the respective region. The Local Naval Defence of the Lakshadweep group of islands is the Naval Officer-in-Charge, Lakshadweep.The Flag Officer Naval Aviation (FONA) based at Goa is responsible for overseeing all matters pertaining to aviation while Flag Officer Submarines (FOSM), who is also the Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff (Submarines) based at Integrated Headquarters of MOD(Navy), New Delhi is responsible for overseeing all the submarine related issues. For repair and maintenance of ships and submarines, the IndianNavy has two major Naval dockyards located at Mumbai and Visakhapatnam. Besides these, smaller Naval Ship Repair Yards function at Kochi and Port Blair. Major aircraft repair and maintenance organisations exist at Kochi and Goa.Logistics support is provided by a well established, network of Weapon Equipment Depots(WEDs), Naval Armament Depots(NADs) and Naval Store Depots(NSDs) located at various places. All base support facilities are largely manned by civilian personnel.Base depot ship INS Kadamba, commissioned on 31 May 05 is located at Karwar. The commissioning of this base marks the culmination of the first phase of developing a state-of the art Naval Base for the Indian Navy. The base is capable of berthing, sustain and maintain a substantial part of our blue water maritime forces on the Western seaboard.Of all the diverse elements that go into making of an effective Navy, no single factor is as important as its Men and Women. It is for this reason that training in the service assumes a special significance. The Southern Naval Command headquarters at Kochi is the Navy?s training command. There are currently 33 training establishments spread over the length and breadth of the country.
