• Rajkumar College to host all-India cultural festival in Rajkot

    Rajkumar College, Rajkot would be hosting an all India public school cultural festival. Eleven schools affiliated to Indian Public Schools’ Conference (ISPC), a body of residential schools started in 1939, would participate in the three-day event starting Thursday. In all,   schools are members of the ISPC out of which 11 would be participating.

    Vinod Thakkar, principal of Rajkumar College, said, “Competitive events in 17 disciplines would be held for the participants. These include imaginative composition, painting, artificial flower arrangement, architectural drawing, poster making, pottery, paper craft, still life, traditional henna, cartoon making, puppetry, clay modeling and rangoli among others.”

    The festival would be inaugurated by well-known sculptor Raghav Kaneria. The teams participating would include those from Punjab Public School at Nabha, Welham Girls School at Dehradun, Welham Boys School at Dehradun, Scindia Kanya Vidhyalaya at Gwalior, Daly College at Indore, Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls School at Jaipur, Vidya Devi Jindal School at Hisar, Sharnbasveshwar Public School at Gulbarga, Yadavindra Public School at Mohali and L K Singhania Education Centre at Gotan, besides the hosts.
