Job Description
Review requirement, scope, technical design document for testing scope and traceability
• Author test cases/scripts
• Perform various types of testing as identified in the test plan
• Report, validate bugs and track statuses
• Report periodic status to QA Lead
• Perform Installation in various environments
• Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
• Over 2 – 3.5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role in medium-large enterprise environments
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodology and hands-on web-based application test experience
• Exposure to J2EE Technologies and strong knowledge of Java, JSPs, Servlets
• Strong experience with creation and maintaining test plans, test cases/scripts
• Solid knowledge and working experience with Windows/UNIX, Oracle, Web Servers and Application servers
• Strong black box testing experience
• Strong regression test suite experience
• Communicate effectively with developers and QA peers to resolve defects/issues
• Onshore & Offshore experience
A plus to have any of the following:
• Strong experience with Mercury QuickTest Pro (Java, VB Plug-ins), LoadRunner
• Strong experience with Grinder (python, java based scripting)
• Hands-on experience with installation and configuration of Weblogic 8, Apache 2, Websphere 6.
