Job Description
• Providing technical support to IDC as well as offshore team.
• Work with US IT support Team to resolve technical issues relevant to IDC or other offshore teams.
• Ensure almost 100% up-time for network and servers. Work with service providers to troubleshoot escalated technical issues.
• Loading and configuring software and hardware, testing of the Desktops, Laptops and or server and delivery and setup to the end user
• Performing regular monitoring of servers and fine-tune periodically.
• Excellent communication is essential as you will be expected to talk regularly with your US counter parts
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Ability to handle pressure
• Reporting directly to Director of Offshore Operations

Desired Candidate Profile
• Sound knowledge on Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Exchange Server.
• Good knowledge on Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, IIS and FTP.
• Performing regular health check of all systems using Symantec Antivirus.
• Sound knowledge of network protocols like TCP/IP, FTP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP.
• Should be familiar with Backup and Restore policies and execution.
• Hands on experience of Cisco devices.
• Hands on experience of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Exposure to Sun Solaris 10 is desired
• Knowledge of VMWare ESX Server is desired.
• Working Knowledge of VoIP devices is desired.
