• Responsibilities include:

o Work with client executives to define the future vision for a social media platform in Drupal
o Partner with the client CTO to build a plan for making the platform become reality
o Deliver solutions for some of the more complex aspects of the project
o Coach, guide, and mentor junior technical resources responsible for delivering the majority of the project
o Provide advice on system development, project management, and infrastructure best practices
o Deliver regular status reports and feedback to the client CTO and Shimshock Group director

Requirements

• Minimum 2.5-3 years developing Drupal solutions
• Views herself or himself as a leader, and checks their ego at the door. We’re an easy-going group of professionals who work hard and believe in building a positive work environment.
• Excellent communication skills are a must.
• Enjoys defining and building solutions, yet also has performed a fair amount of project management in the past (and extremely comfortable with what it takes to define a project).

• Comfortable working in an environment that requires interaction with:

o Business executives (requirements gathering) o Project managers (defining and estimating tasks) o Technology resources (translating requirements into technical tasks)

• Solid understanding of the overall Drupal technology architecture
• Highly skilled at custom Drupal module development, theming, and how to extend pre-defined modules.
• Strong skill in PHP, MySQL, Linux, CSS, JavaScript, and SVN… however we’re not looking for the world’s top expert in these technologies. We’d rather have someone who doesn’t know the answer to every problem, but is absolutely confident that he or she can find an answer in a short amount of time.
• Comfortable in working in multi-stage environments (development, stage, production, etc.)
• Knows all the ins and outs of what it takes to successfully test web-based applications.

• Good knowledge of how to build high-performance, highly scalable technology platforms.
