• Four from Gujarat win UK’s Jubilee Scholarship

    Four students from Gujarat have been selected for the United Kingdom’s prestigious Jubilee Scholarship. The Jubilee Scholarship was launched in March this year to commemorate Queen Elizabeth’s diamond jubilee and the London Olympics-2012.

    A total of 60 students from across the country have been selected for the scholarship, out of which four are from the state. The scholarship is funded by the British Council and the UK government and will offer complete financial support for tuition fees, accommodation, stipend and air travel. The scholarship amounts to around Rs 40 lakhs.

    From the state, Ankita Upadhye and Dhruti Babariya have been selected to pursue MSc in clinical embryology at University of Oxford, Priyank Hirani has been chosen for MSc in Analogue and Digital integrated circuit design at Imperial College and Kamir Kothari for MSc in financial economics at Said Business School, University of Oxford.
