Vadodara to have one more Kendriya Vidyalaya

With the central government sanctioning 71 Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) to be set up in the country, one of them will be coming up in the city taking the total number of KVs in the city to six. This sixth KV will be at air force station in Darjipura and will be the only one in Gujarat among the new sanctioned lot.

The school will start functioning from August 1 and admissions process will begin from Thursday. “Initially, we will start from class one to class five with intake of 45 students in each class. We will start academic session in August once we are through with admissions,” said principal of KV at air force station in Makarpura, Sarita Naswa, who has been given additional charge of Darjipura.
