Infosys and Accenture are the major recruiters.
The highest package offered till now is Rs 8.5 lakh per annum offered by DirectI.
Companies came with an offer of Rs 6 lakh as CTC.
ZS Associates, JP Morgan Chase, Futures First, Pramati, Verse Innovations, National Instruments, Open Silicon, Maxim Integrated Design Circuit, HP R&D and Qualcomm are a few of them.
Deloitte made 19 offers.
Two companies incubated at National Design Business Incubator of NID, Mediashala and Mayavi, visited the campus for the first time and recruited nine candidates. They offered a CTC of 4.2 lakh per annum.
The students were offered jobs as research engineer, software developer, business technology associate, analyst, application developer, system developer, and embedded system designer etc.
Other companies which also visited the campus were Deloitte, Saba Software, Airvana Networks, Fiserv, Anindus Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., Kuliza, Capillary, Mu-Sigma, Mediashala, Evosys, Tata Technologies, Bit Mapper, Sankalp Semiconductors, Sapient, Dolcera, Robosoft, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, MindTree, Patni, Persistent and Accenture.

TCS to hire 30,000 personnel next fiscal

With the IT industry firmly on the growth track, Tata Consultancy Services plans to hire 30,000 personnel in the next fiscal. The company would be announcing the increments around April but the quantum was not divulged.

Expect 12% hike this year
New Delhi: Indian companies are expected to give the highest salary hikes of up to 12 per cent in Asian region, driven by rapid economic growth and need for executive talent, a report by global HR consultancy Mercer said.

As per Mercer’s ‘Asia Executive Remuneration Snapshot Survey’, more firms are planning to grant pay hikes in 2010, as Asian economies continue to show signs of improvement. As many as 65 per cent of the 233 companies surveyed across the region plan to provide base salary hikes for executives, compared with only 30 per cent in 2009.

Hiring is back again in India Inc!

India Inc’s hiring activity was up 17% in February with telecom and auto sectors leading the rebound, a report by job portal Naukri.com said. Its monthly survey reflected renewed optimism among recruiters, with the new job index moving up to 947 in February compared to 808 in January.

A year-on-year comparison of the job index shows a 14 per cent growth in February this year compared to the same month last year. “Recruitment activity accelerated in February, reflecting underlying strength and positive momentum in the job market,” Info Edge COO Hitesh Oberoi said.

This time the portal has introduced its new and expanded job index.
