AAU, IRMA join hands to create rural managers

Two premier educational institutions from India’s milk capital Anand — the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) and the Anand Agriculture University (AAU) — have joined hands to create a unique breed of rural managers.

They will soon launch a programme that will allow a BTech (dairy technology) student of AAU to directly get admission in IRMA’s post graduate programme in rural management (PRM). The student becomes eligible to take IRMA’s specially designed entrance test after clearing the first year of the BTech course. In five years, the students will pass out with two degrees — B Tech and PRM. Once AAU students complete the four-year programme, they will stay at IRMA for a year and complete the rest of syllabus.
