69 adhoc lecturer needed in GTU for new engineering colleges

The six engineering colleges and one polytechnic that have been set up in Public-Private Partnership model by Gujarat Technological University (GTU) are recruiting faculty members. GCET going well on day 1!

Gujarat Common Entrance Tests (GCET) began on Monday. Around 23,000 students have registered for the tests that pave the way for admission to MBA or MCA courses in colleges across the state.

The students who appeared for the exam on day one found the exam easy but time consuming. Mathematics was tough for most.

Unlike last year, where there were reports of power failure in several centres, on Monday only one such case was reported from a Surat centre. However, the power was restored shortly. More »

Engineering admissions started in Gujarat!

Monday was the last date to register online for admissions to engineering and pharmacy courses.

As many as 61,500 students had registered online till late evening on Monday. A total of 62,000 admission booklets issued by Admission Committee for Professional Courses were sold. Till Sunday night, 57,600 students had registered online.

Gujarat Technical University V-C post vacant!

The Gujarat Technical University (GTU) was started nearly two years ago and is functioning without any governing authority. Don’t like your GCET score? Take a second chance

For all wannabe MBAs and MCAs, here is some good news. If you do not perform well in the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET), there is no need to worry. From 2010, you will get a second chance. A proposal in this regard has been prepared by authorities of Gujarat Technological University (GTU) that governs all MCA and MBA institutes in Gujarat.

It will be tabled at GTU’s board meeting scheduled to take place soon, said sources. Best of two that is how one can describe this new system being evolved. Gujarat Govt schools to go online!

asking them to develop their school’s website.
