Tips for GPSC (Gujarat Public Service Commission ) Interview!

The Interview Committee of the GPSC, has listed the qualities that should be rated in the interview as, ”clarity of expression, grasp of narrative and argument, reasoning ability, appreciation of different points of view, awareness and concern for socio-economic problems, ranges and depth of interests and personal attributes relevant to interaction with people.”

The Interview for the civil services examination also known as the Personality Test is exactly that. It is aimed at assessing the candidate’s personality, whether he is suitable to be a competent administrator or not. The candidate is tested not only for his/her intelligence but also for his/her overall personality development, his/her attentiveness, balance of judgment and qualities of honesty, integrity and leadership. GPSC interview start from 18th January!

Finally its interview time. GPSC(Gujarat Public Service Commission) has taken exam in 2007 for Class-I and Class -II. 

Interview will start for 1090 candidates from 18th January. interview process will be completed on 03 april 2010.

• 1567 total opening
• 2500 Rs/month fix for 5 year
• Qualification 12th pass
• Age limit 18 to 25 year
• form fee 100 Rs for general category for other free.
• Last date 15 December 2009
• Form will be available from District Collector Office  and some of Taluka Mamlatdar office

For Revenue Talati Exam will be taken by Gujarat Gaun seva pasandgi mandal not for Gujarat Public Service commission (GPSC). Below are exam details

• 1 paper of 100 marks
• Objective kind of paper with OMR sheet
• Paper will contain question from General Knowledge, Statics Mathematics (Aank Ganit),  English Language ,English Grammar,  Gujarati Language, Gujarati Grammar.

UPSC prelims to give way to aptitude test?

Focusing on aptitude of candidates to meet challenges of demanding life in civil services, the UPSC on Thursday advocated replacing the existing Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination with an Aptitude Test.

“UPSC is convinced of the need for important changes in the method of recruitment to the higher civil services that are the vehicle for public service delivery. One of the recommendations made by the commission to the government is that a Civil Service Aptitude Test replace the existing Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination,” UPSC chairman Prof D P Agrawal said.
