Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET) merit list to be declared on July 8

Gujarat Technological University (GTU) will declare the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET) merit list on July 8, six days after the second and final phase of the GCET examination gets over, confirmed Dr GP Vadodaria, GTU’s controller of examinations.   • GTU had earlier announced that the exam will take place in Feb
  • GCET-2011 will be held in June instead of February as announced earlier.
  • The institute heads were of the opinion that the GCET-2011 should be held in June as per the earlier schedule because the colleges had already fixed the schedules for other exams to be held in February

Gujarat Technological University (GTU) has decided to conduct the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET) for MBA and MCA aspirants in February 2011.

The decision is aimed at helping MBA and MCA colleges finish their admission process earlier. The move to advance GCET will further cut the waiting period for students, said GTU sources. More »

GCET going well on day 1!

Gujarat Common Entrance Tests (GCET) began on Monday. Around 23,000 students have registered for the tests that pave the way for admission to MBA or MCA courses in colleges across the state.

The students who appeared for the exam on day one found the exam easy but time consuming. Mathematics was tough for most.

Unlike last year, where there were reports of power failure in several centres, on Monday only one such case was reported from a Surat centre. However, the power was restored shortly. More »

Tuesday is the last day to register for the test for admission to MBA, MCA courses

Centres for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test will be allotted on first come first served basis to whoever has applied for it. Around 23,000 students had registered for the test by Monday to join the MBA or MCA courses.

For all wannabe MBAs and MCAs, here is some good news. If you do not perform well in the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET), there is no need to worry. From 2010, you will get a second chance. A proposal in this regard has been prepared by authorities of Gujarat Technological University (GTU) that governs all MCA and MBA institutes in Gujarat.

It will be tabled at GTU’s board meeting scheduled to take place soon, said sources. Best of two that is how one can describe this new system being evolved.
