GCET exam centres on first come first served basis

Tuesday is the last day to register for the test for admission to MBA, MCA courses

Centres for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test will be allotted on first come first served basis to whoever has applied for it. Around 23,000 students had registered for the test by Monday to join the MBA or MCA courses.

Don’t like your GCET score? Take a second chance

For all wannabe MBAs and MCAs, here is some good news. If you do not perform well in the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET), there is no need to worry. From 2010, you will get a second chance. A proposal in this regard has been prepared by authorities of Gujarat Technological University (GTU) that governs all MCA and MBA institutes in Gujarat.

It will be tabled at GTU’s board meeting scheduled to take place soon, said sources. Best of two that is how one can describe this new system being evolved. MN Patel, acting V-C of GTU, said, “In 2010, GCET exams are likely to incorporate these important changes. The decision has been taken to help students upgrade their performance.” More »
