Clinical research boom in Gujarat spikes demand for trained personnel

With the clinical research industry in the state registering a robust growth in the last two-three years, clinical research students in the Gujarat have a reason to cheer.

The Institute of Clinical Research (India) Ahmedabad campus has been able to place 78 students of 2007-09 batch within the state this time. Of the total batch strength of 88 students, 10 did not opt for placements. R S Dugal, chairman of ICRI is optimistic about this growth rate sustaining in the years to come. More »

853 students get employment at a Job fair organised by Gujarat Knowledge Society at LD Engineering College

Total of 853 students from different colleges and schools bagged employment opportunities at a job fair organised by Gujarat Knowledge Society at LD Engineering College on Saturday.

According to Gujarat Knowledge Society officials, the students with different educational back ground were provided with on-the-spot registration. “Total of 2700 students with qualification as diverse as post graduation, graduation and HSC had registered themselves. At the end of the fair, 853 students received the opportunities to work with 26 companies that had come for the fair.” said project manager Rosily Victor.

“The Gujarat Knowledge Society had earlier held job fair in Rajkot where 178 students had got employment. Our next fair is scheduled to be held in Vadodara and Surat.” she said, adding that the society had decided to organise job fair every three month.
