With the central government sanctioning 71 Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) to be set up in the country, one of them will be coming up in the city taking the total number of KVs in the city to six. This sixth KV will be at air force station in Darjipura and will be the only one in Gujarat among the new sanctioned lot.

MSU online: All faculty accounts to be centralised, computerised

msulogoartgloworangeMSU vice-chancellor Ramesh Goyal, during a deans’ meeting on Wednesday, informed that accounts of all faculties will be linked with university accounts. A seven-member team has been constituted to train the staff to operate software, backed by the expert guidance of a chartered accountant.

The faculties will submit their accounts online. These will automatically get transferred to university accounts. Accounts personnel of each department will be trained to operate the software. Every faculty has been surveyed to ascertain requirement of manpower and machines, as well as internet connectivity. Faculties will be provided the required internet connectivity and computer terminals to facilitate this system. More »
