Petro university inks deal with US institute

A centre for excellence in energy will be set up by Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University(PDPU) in association with Georgia Institute of Technology (Gatech), Atlanta from the US.

On Saturday, PDPU, Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) signed an MoU with Gatech for establishing the centre on the campus and carrying out faculty and student exchange programmes with the university.

Gatech is a technical university and has done research work in the areas of solar, nuclear, electricals and transportation.

PDPU is supported by GSPC to promote research with special focus on the oil and gas, solar and nuclear energy. Officials from Gatech visited the university and also met Chief Minister Narendra Modi to discuss their interest in research in oil and gas, solar, nuclear and wind power.
