Engineering admissions started in Gujarat!

Monday was the last date to register online for admissions to engineering and pharmacy courses.

As many as 61,500 students had registered online till late evening on Monday. A total of 62,000 admission booklets issued by Admission Committee for Professional Courses were sold. Till Sunday night, 57,600 students had registered online.

On Monday alone, 3,900 students registered online. Sources said that there are many students who have not submitted the requisite documents for further processing of admissions because they have no clue where to submit it.

Finalisation of the provisional seat matrix and declaration of provisional merit list will be done on June 2 and 4 respectively.

Meanwhile, sources said, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has rejected 50 per cent of applications requesting affiliation, received from 106 new colleges in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra
