BBA, BCA admissions enter final phase in Gujarat!
The final phase of admission process for BBA and BCA courses will begin this week. The Gujarat University (GU) will start the ‘counselling’ procedure, wherein students will be asked to decide which college they want to join, on Friday.
According to GU officials, 5,232 class XII pass-outs have applied for admission to BBA, while 5,184 want to study BCA. There are 1,200 seats in BBA colleges and 1,500 in BCA. This year, NRI and management quotas have been scrapped.
The counselling exercise, which will take place at GU’s IAS Centre, will be wrapped up in eight days.

This year, the university has implemented a centralised admission system.
The distribution of forms among students who have secured at least 45 per cent of marks in class XII began at 10 centres on June 2.
GU to invite applications for new colleges Nine BBA and 16 BCA colleges are affiliated to the varsity. There is a need for more colleges, and a GU committee on Tuesday decided to invite applications for new colleges.
