Universities in Gujarat to switch to credit system by next year!

Gujarat is fifth state to apply this system after Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Madhya Prades in India. On lines of universities abroad, state government announced on Thursday that universities in Gujarat will implement the choice-based credit system (CBCS) from next academic year.

TCS to hire 30,000 personnel next fiscal

With the IT industry firmly on the growth track, Tata Consultancy Services plans to hire 30,000 personnel in the next fiscal. The company would be announcing the increments around April but the quantum was not divulged.

Hiring is back again in India Inc!

India Inc’s hiring activity was up 17% in February with telecom and auto sectors leading the rebound, a report by job portal Naukri.com said. Its monthly survey reflected renewed optimism among recruiters, with the new job index moving up to 947 in February compared to 808 in January.

US based Kendle group, a leading global clinical research organization (CRO) with about $ 415 million net revenues in 2009, has firmed up its plans to check into Mindspace, a Rs 1200 crore IT/ITES SEZ project developed by Mumbai-based K Raheja Corp on Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Knowledge Corridor.
