“The spectrum allocated to us has not been released by government agencies. Hence, we are not able to launch the services in the state. We had earlier planned to launch DOCOMO by December 15,” said Naveen Bhasin, chief operating officer, COO of TTL Gujarat. “TTL has its share of spectrum, but it has to be cleared by local authorities too and such procedures take time,” Bhasin explained.
Asked about the next possible launch date, Bhasin said the company is now planning to do so by January end. TTL is very excited about Gujarat market and is hoping to get maximum incremental market share from here.Like

- Who has prepared Self Appraisal Form
The appraisal form has been prepared by a committee consisting of former vice-chancellors, college principals and education department officials. The panel sought to know from lecturers their education qualification, background etc. to verify these with the credentials furnished at the time of joining the job, and hence put these in the appraisal forms. Among the other heads, the form also seeks info on teaching methods — lectures, interaction, group discussions — and teaching aids that college lecturers practice. More »
The Gujarat education department has initiated a move to appraise the performance of college lecturers with the aim of increasing quality of education and accountability among teachers. The department has sent out appraisal forms to all grant-in-aid colleges in the state and put it up on its website for lecturers to access, fill up and return to college principals. The measure was recommended by University Grants Commission long ago, but is being put into practice in Gujarat only now.
The fee hike issue taken up by self-financed institutes is yet to be resolved. Several self-financed institutes had asked the Gujarat University (GU) to permit them to increase the fee charged by them. But, the GU wanted these institutes to put forth reasons for hiking the fees. However, even after six months the institutes have failed to respond to queries put up by GU authorities.
These are self-financed institutes offering Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) and Bachelor of Commerce (Bcom) affiliated to GU.
