Kesar Sal students can pursue MBBS in their college
The Medical Council of India (MCI) has agreed to allow Kesar Sal Medical College to continue teaching students, almost two years after it derecognised the institute for want of infrastructural facilities for academic purpose.
Following the derecognition in 2007, 229 students approached the Gujarat High Court earlier this year seeking directions to authorities to shift them to other colleges so that they could complete their MBBS course. After other colleges in the state expressed their inability to accommodate them, the students through their advocate Tejas Barot moved a proposal in the high court to allow them to complete their degree course at Kesar Sal only. Picasso Animation College starts campus in Gujarat
Picasso Centennial Animation College (http://www.picasso.co.in) has started its campus in the Infocity. This is the 17th campus of the College and is among the two biggest campuses with student intake strength of 400. Its Hyderabad campus is another one with 400 capacity.
The college which offers Integrated Bsc and Msc in Multimedia and animation courses will start its academic work from September this year. By next year, the college plans to expand the capacity to 1,000. More »
Gujarat signs MoU with Cisco for GIFT!
Finance Tec-City Company Limited (GIFTCL) and Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services Limited (IL&FS) on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cisco for the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) project.
