ગુજરાત પોલીસની જુદી જુદી કેડરની ખાલી પડેલી ૧૪૩૬૫ જગ્યાઓ માટે આવતીકાલને બુધવારથી ભરતી પ્રક્રિયા શરૃ કરવામાં આવશે. જેમાં ડમી ઉમેદવાર ઝડપી લેવા ઉપરાંત ભ્રષ્ટાચાર ડામવાના હેતુ સર બાયોમેટ્રિક સિસ્ટમ દાખલ કરવામાં આવી છે. જેમાં દરેક ઉમેદવારની શારીરિક ક્ષમતા કસોટી, લેખિત કસોટી અને મૌખિક કસોટી એમ ત્રણે વખતે ઉમેદવારોની આંગળીની છાપ લેવામાં આવશે.

ઉમેદવારો માટે અગત્યની સૂચનાઓ :

1. ઉમેદવારે શારીરિક ક્ષમતા કસોટી માટે જે તે કસોટીના સ્થળે સક્ષમ અધિકારીને પ્રવેશપત્ર રજુ કરીને જ શારીરિક ક્ષમતા કસોટીમાં ભાગ લેવાનો રેહશે . તેમજ જે તે કસોટીમાં હાંસલ કરેલ સિધ્ધિ પ્રવેશપત્રમાં નોંધવામાં આવે તેની કાળજી તેજ વખતે ઉમેદવારે પણ લેવાની રેહશે.  આ પ્રવેશપત્ર ઉમેદવારને પરત મળશે નહિ.
2. ઉમેદવારે શારીરિક ક્ષમતા કસોટીમાં જે તે કસોટી માટે દર્શાવેલ લઘુતમ ધોરણ પ્રાપ્ત કરવું ફરિજયાત છે.જે ઉમેદવારે કોઈપણ શારીરિક કસોટીમાં નિયત લઘુતમ ધોરણ પ્રાપ્ત નહિ કરી શકે, તે ઉમેદવારે આપોઆપ શારીરિક ક્ષમતા કસોટીમાંથી નાપાસ જાહેર થશે અને ત્યારબાદ ની કસોટીમાં ભાગ લેવા ગેરલાયક ઠરશે.
3. ઉમેદવારે જાહેરાતમાં દર્શાવેલ શૈક્ષણિક લાયકાત ,વયમર્યાદા તથા શારીરિક માપો વગેરેની તમામ લાયકાતો ધરાવતા હોય તો જ આ પરીક્ષામાં ઉપસ્થીત રહેવું. અન્યથા આવી લાયકાતો ધરાવતા ન હોવાનું ભરતી પ્રક્રિયાના કોઈ પણ તબ્બકે માલુમ પડશે તો આપને ઉમેદવારી માટે ગેરલાયક ઠેરવી યોગ્ય પગલાં લેવામાં આવશે.
4. શારીરિક ક્ષમતા કસોટીમાં પાસ થનાર ઉમેદવારની શારીરિક માપણી કરવામાં આવશે અને જો ઉમેદવાર ભરતી નિયમોથી ઠેરવ્યા મુજબના ધોરણો પરિપૂર્ણ કરતા હશે તો જ તેને લેખિત પરીક્ષા માટે લાયક ગણવામાં આવશે.
5. શારીરિક માપ અને ઉમેદવારને કોઈ વાંધો હોય તો ગ્રાઉન્ડ ઉપર ઉપલબ્ધ અપીલ બોર્ડને અપીલ કરી શકશે. અપીલ બોર્ડનો નિર્ણય આખરી ગણાશે.
6. આ શારીરિક ક્ષમતા કસોટી માટે રીપોર્ટ કરતી વખતે ઉમેદવારે મોબાઈલ ક અન્ય ઉપકરણ લઈને આવવું નહિ. મોબાઈલ કે અન્ય ઉપકરણ સાથે ગ્રાઉન્ડ પર પ્રવેશ કરવા દેવામાં આવશે નહિ.
7. જો કોઈ ઉમેદવાર કોઈપણ પ્રકાર ની ગેરરીતી કે ગેરશીક્ત આચરતો જણાશે તો તે ઉમેદવારની  ઉમેદવારી રદ્દ કરવામાં આવશે.
8. ઉમેદવારે પોતાના નામ, કૅટૅગરી અને જાતિ પ્રવેશપત્ર માં દર્શાવ્યા મુજબ છે કે કેમ તે પ્રવેશ પત્ર માં ચકાસી લેવાનું રહેશે અને જો ફેરફાર હોય તો પુરાવા સાથે પરીક્ષા સ્થળે જરૂરી સુધારો કરવા લેખિતમાં અરજી આપવાની રહેશે. અન્યથા ત્યારબાદ ભરતી બોર્ડ સુધારાની કોઈપણ રજૂઆત ધ્યાને લેશે નહિ.
9. ઉમેદવારે જાહેરાત મુજબ શારીરિક કસોટી પરીક્ષા આપવા માટે જરૂરી તૈયારી સાથે આવવાનું રહેશે
10. સ્થળ, તારીખ અને સમયમાં કોઈ ફેરફાર કરવામાં આવશે નહિ. બોર્ડ દ્વારા સૂચવેલ કેન્દ્ર  ઉપર કોઈ કારણોસર શારીરિક ક્ષમતા કસોટી ન લઇ શકાયતો શારીરિક કસોટી માટેની નવી તારીખ જે તે દિવસે સ્થળ પર જાહેર કરવામાં આવશે.
11. શારીરિક ક્ષમતા તથા શારીરિક માપ કસોટીમાં ઉત્તિર્ણ થનાર ઉમેદવારને જ લેખિત કસોટી આપવા માટે ટપાલ દ્વારા અલગથી કોલ લેટર મોકલવામાં આવશે .

PDPU signs MoU with American univ for exchange program

AHMEDABAD: The Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the University of Oklahoma (OU),United States of America, on January 12. The MoU between the two universities is for faculty and student exchange programs and exchange of published information. 

The OU consists of fifteen colleges, including 152 specialisations such as meteorology, geology, petroleum engineering and history of science.

Graduates line up to be coolies in Mumbai

BCom student Ganesh Sanap is now busy applying for jobs. The latest job the 21-year-old third year student — who has also finished a course in computer hardware — has applied for is that of the post of a licensed porter in Central Railway. 

“As long as I get a job which pays me a decent sum, I don’t mind working as a coolie,” Sanap said on Monday, after a test of his physical endurance at the Parel Railway Workshop grounds. The student of K J Somaiya, however, has not yet informed his parents.

China systematically killing Indian manufacturing: L&T

Private sector engineering major Larsen & Toubro has said that China is systematically killing Indian manufacturing sector and sought 25 per cent anti-dumping duty on Chinese goods. 

“China has a fixed currency. It is not a market economy like ours. China is systematically killing the Indian manufacturing sector,” L&T chief Naik, who was here for foundation stone laying ceremony of a forgings unit at Hazira told reporters here yesterday.

Japan delegation meets Modi, plans Rs 5000-crore eco-township in Dahej,Gujarat

A high-level delegation from Japan  called on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday and made a proposal to set up a Rs 5,000-crore eco-township at Dahej.

The nine-member delegation, led by Chairman of Japan Development Institute Dr Shoichi Kobayashi, has proposed to set up an eco township modeled on Kitakyushu township in Japan in Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) area here and another township GRMAZ at Dahej, said a government release. GU to introduce semester system in PG courses!

Gujarat University (GU) is mulling over introducing semester system in post-graduation courses from the next academic year. The university has called for a meeting of heads of all departments on Sunday.

A meeting of joint board of vice-chancellors and education department was held in Rajkot three months ago, in which UGC’s instruction to start semester system in colleges was discussed. It was decided that the semester system should be introduced in PG courses on a trial basis first. Read more…

853 students get employment at a Job fair organised by Gujarat Knowledge Society at LD Engineering College

Total of 853 students from different colleges and schools bagged employment opportunities at a job fair organised by Gujarat Knowledge Society at LD Engineering College on Saturday.

According to Gujarat Knowledge Society officials, the students with different educational back ground were provided with on-the-spot registration. “Total of 2700 students with qualification as diverse as post graduation, graduation and HSC had registered themselves. At the end of the fair, 853 students received the opportunities to work with 26 companies that had come for the fair.” said project manager Rosily Victor.

“The Gujarat Knowledge Society had earlier held job fair in Rajkot where 178 students had got employment. Our next fair is scheduled to be held in Vadodara and Surat.” she said, adding that the society had decided to organise job fair every three month.
